Tips for A Successful Necessity is a Mother Submission

A Necessity is a Mother story is a true, personal story or poem about silly circumstances, amusing anecdotes, and much-better-than-expected outcomes when resorting to the use of items available as alternative tools when in a bind.

It is a simply told story or poem that will make our readers laugh and shake their heads in amazement at people’s endless ingenuity. The best stories are filled with vivid descriptions and self-deprecating humor.

If we publish your story or poem, you will receive a free digital copy of the book in PDF and MOBI format, plus 1 coupon which can be used to purchase print copies at a discount.

Guidelines for a Necessity is a Mother story

  1. Write a comical story or poem about something that has happened to you or someone you know who has had to resort to using an unconventional tool to solve a problem. Your story should be written about yourself or someone close to you.
  2. Tell your story in a way that will make the reader laugh, be surprised, or even say “Wow!”
  3. Your story must be 1200 words or less. Poems have open line count.
